A year ago, I began writing this story set around a secluded pond in Conehatta, Mississippi. It follows the daily lives of the animals there—especially Mud, a wise snapping turtle, and his caring friends. One day, a beautiful bird arrives, changing everything. In my first children's novel, discover Conehatta, a vibrant Choctaw and old farming community where traditional stories and language blend, and join a heartwarming tale of friendship, change, and discovery. Looking to finish writing the novel this year, with a release date hopefully in 2027.
